24/7 Reactive

24/7 Reactive Maintenance & Call-Outs

Power loss, tripping circuits, fire alarm faults, failed lighting — a qualified engineer on the way, day or night, for businesses and portfolios we look after and those we don't yet.

When a distribution board trips at 6am or a fire panel goes into fault on a Saturday, the cost of waiting until Monday is measured in lost trading, spoiled stock and staff sent home. Reactive cover is the part of a maintenance agreement that earns its keep.

LS Elec provides 24/7 reactive electrical and fire alarm call-outs for commercial customers across the East of England and Midlands. We diagnose the fault, make the installation safe, repair what can be repaired on the day, and send a report afterwards so the visit becomes part of your compliance record rather than a mystery invoice.

Why it matters

Downtime kept short

Engineers who know commercial installations, stock on the van and a clear ETA when you call — not a promise to look at it next week.

Priority for maintained sites

Clients on a planned maintenance agreement get priority attendance and agreed response times written into the contract.

Fixes that count as compliance

Reactive repairs are tested, certified where required and recorded against the site, so they strengthen your compliance file rather than sitting outside it.

What's included

Reactive Maintenance services, in detail

Emergency call-outs

A qualified engineer dispatched day or night for loss of supply, tripping, burning smells, water ingress and other faults that can't wait.

Fault finding

Methodical diagnosis of intermittent trips, nuisance RCD operation, failed circuits and equipment faults — fixed at the cause, not the symptom.

Making safe

Dangerous conditions isolated and made safe immediately, with a clear explanation of what's needed to restore the installation permanently.

Repairs & replacements

Breakers, RCDs, contactors, accessories and lighting replaced from van stock where possible, so most faults are resolved in a single visit.

Lighting failures

Failed emergency luminaires, external lighting and internal lighting circuits restored, with defects logged for your records.

Reporting

Every call-out ends with a written report: what we found, what we did, what's still needed — filed against the site.

FAQ

Good questions we hear a lot

Do we need a maintenance contract to use the call-out service?

No — we attend emergency call-outs for commercial customers whether or not we already look after the site. Clients on a maintenance agreement get priority attendance and agreed response times, which is why most reactive customers move onto one.

How quickly can you attend?

We'll give you a realistic ETA when you call. Response times for contract clients are agreed in the maintenance agreement based on the site's location and criticality; for everyone else we attend as quickly as engineer availability and distance allow.

What should we have ready when we call?

The site address and access arrangements, what's happened and when, whether anything is unsafe right now, and the location of the main switchgear or fire panel. If you have a site contact who can meet the engineer, even better.

Do you cover fire alarm faults out of hours?

Yes. A fire alarm in fault or generating false alarms is treated as urgent — we attend around the clock to diagnose, silence safely where appropriate and restore the system.
